Who let people make anime food look so good? When I watch anime and see a food scene, It makes my mouth water. Literally. I love food, Well not sushi. Ironic isn’t it? My blog is named Sushi with Soysauce but I actually really despise sushi (There’s a story behind my blog’s name, but that’s for another time) Today we talk about food I actually want to eat!
Believe it or not, I’ve never eaten Ramen. I’ve tried those instant ones, but I’m pretty sure I’m missing out on the real thing. Im sure there are a lot of places where I live that sell Ramen, I’ve just never gone to one of them. The first anime I watched that featured ramen was Naruto, and Naruto is known for his Ramen addiction (I even have a sticker of him eating ramen which I stuck on my switch).
There is a diverse selection of Ramen vie seen online (Yes, I watch food videos to cure my hunger). According to Google, there are 4 main types of ramen, Shio (salt-based ramen), Shoyu (soy sauce-based ramen), Miso (soybean paste-flavored ramen), and Tonkotsu (pork bone broth ramen). I think I’d like to try either Miso Ramen or Shio Ramen, they all sound good though!
Before I watched anime, I saw this dish on a lot of YouTube channels, I think it was trend 2 years back. Ever since then I’ve wanted to eat it. I love rice, and I also love eggs, so obviously, this seems like something I have to try! They usually decorate the top of it with a message written in ketchup which I think is cute, I really want one now.
Honestly, I would try cooking this because it looks easy(ish?) but I’m the worst person to leave in a kitchen. I’m scared of stoves and I think I can only make 3 things? Rice, eggs, and pasta. As you can see, my cooking skills are extremely limited.
#3 Coffee Jelly
Well, this is more of a dessert than food, but it’s edible so I’ll count it as food for now. Coffee Jelly is Saiki’s favorite food, and an iconic one too! Whenever I hear someone just mention Coffee, I immediately think of Saiki. I don’t think I’ve met anyone who dislikes Jelly, I don’t. I love Jelly! I think it would be in my Top 10 desserts ever. I also love coffee, So coffee jelly sounds like something for me!
The other day, I watched a couple of videos on how to make it and it seems pretty simple, but it has a lot, I repeat, a lot of sugar. So maybe one day I’ll make it.
Taiyaki is a Japanese Fish-shaped cake most of the time filled with sweet red bean paste. Other times custard, chocolate or even cheese. I think that the idea of shaping the food into a fish is unique. I was at a Korean food shop a while back, and I saw them sell this. I thought it was interesting that a Korean shop was selling Japanese food. I didn’t buy it though, I ended up buying melon Icecream. I wonder what sweet red bean paste tastes like, I’ve never tried it sweet.
#5 Shabu Shabu (Hot Pot)
Hot pot seems like something you’d eat when you hang out with friends after a long time, Once COVID’s gone forever, I would take my friends out to eat this. Inside the dish are different vegetables, Chicken, beef or pork and tofu. They are all cooked in boiling soup and you eat them with different sauces.
Even if I can’t eat this with my friends, then Id do it at home with my family, it kind of seems like Korean barbeque where you do it yourself which looks fun!
